외국산 축산물을 국내산으로 속여 팔거나 원산지를 표시하지 않은 업체 106곳이 적발됐다.

국립농산물품질관리원은 축산물 수요가 증가하는 여름 휴가철을 맞아 지난달 15~31일 축산물 원산지 표시를 집중 단속한 결과 106개 업체에서 119건의 위반 사례를 적발했다고 9일 밝혔다.

이번 단속은 축산물 판매업소,식육 제조·가공업소,유명 관광지 주변 음식점·정육식당 및 온라인쇼핑몰·배달앱 등을 대상으로 이뤄졌다.

외국산 축산물을 국내산으로 판매하는 행위,원산지를 혼동·위장 판매하는 행위,원산지를 표시하지 않은 행위 등을 집중적으로 단속했다.

품목별 위반 건수는 돼지고기가 82건으로 가장 많았고 쇠고기 15건,닭고기 12건,오리고기 7건,염소고기 2건,양고기 1건 순이었다.

업종별로는 일반음식점이 66곳으로 가장 많았고 식육판매점 20곳,메리트 카지노 조작식육가공처리업 3곳,가공제조업과 식육유통업 각각 2곳 등이다.

이번 단속으로 적발된 업체 가운데 외국산 축산물을 국내산 등으로 원산지를 거짓 표시해 판매한 53곳은 형사입건됐다.또한 원산지를 표시하지 않은 53곳에는 과태료 1200만 원이 부과됐다.

김철 농관원장은 "수입이 증가하고 소비가 확대되는 축산물에 대해 원산지 표시 여부를 지속적으로 관리할 계획"이라며 "오는 9월에는 추석 선물·제수용 농식품의 부정 유통 행위를 집중 점검하겠다"고 말했다.
