비거주 1주택자 논란에 빠진 이형일 경제부총리 후보자는 아파트가 "철거 중"이라고 해명했습니다.하지만 철거 이전부터 살지 않았던 이유에 대해서는 말을 피했습니다.비거주 1주택자에 대한 징벌적 과세 정책을 입안한 부처의 수장이 되려는 상황이라,앞뒤가 맞지 않아 보입니다.

지하철 4호선 과천역과 인접해 있는 과천 주공 8·9단집니다.

주민 이주는 이미 끝났고,필앤필 토토철거가 한창입니다.

이형일 경제 부총리 후보자는 이 아파트 전용 54㎡,필앤필 토토16평짜리를 부부 공동명의로 보유하고 있는데,필앤필 토토2021년부터 평촌과 과천 중앙동,서울 상도동에서 전세로 거주했습니다.

이 후보자는 비거주 1주택자 논란에 대해 이렇게 입장을 말했습니다.

"과천 아파트는 현재 재건축이 진행돼서 멸실 중이라서 현재 그런 상황임을 이해해 주시면 좋겠습니다."

하지만 재산신고 내역으로 확인된 것만으로도 최소 5년전부터 비거주 1주택자였습니다.

정부 기조대로라면 살지도 않을 집을 팔았어야 하는데,그대로 둔 겁니다.

이 후보자는 자녀 둘을 둔 4인 가구.

현지 공인중개사들은 이 후보자가 보유한 평형은 4인 가구가 살기 힘들다고 말합니다.

"16평,19평 갖고 계신 분들은 소유하더라도 결국 세주고 갈 수밖에 없어요.너무 작아서 애가 크면은 어떻게 할 수가 없어요."

일부에서는 같은 재경부 출신인 구윤철 장관과 이억원 금융위원장처럼 소형 주공아파트를 사서 재건축 재테크를 한 것 아니냐는 지적이 나오고 있습니다.

이 후보자에 대한 인사청문회는 오는 15일 열립니다.
